Saved from the swing

I forgot to write...when we were by Teresa's, Sienna got so upset every time Zakary got on the swing. She was crying & running to him screaming & trying to pull him off the swing. Then she would hit the swing & say "bad swing". She was running back & forth from him to the door & now I realize she wanted him to not only get off but to get into the house. Probably because it was safe there.

Then a few days later Me & Jerry took her to the park. She played nicely at the jungle gym. Then she went walking on the stepping stones, then suddenly she saw the kids on the swings & off she went running to save the. She ran up to a baby yelling "baby out!" Jerry had to grab her & haul her away from there before some parent thought she wanted the swing to herself. She is seriously afraid & I don't know what ever caused this. Wonder when she'll get over it.

Finally shared the news

Friday: I went by Teresa's with Sienna's announcement shirt on. Evalina actually read it a few times & says that's cute, obviuosly not understanding. A little while later I told her Evalina the shirt is true. her mouth dropped, she was so excited. I told her tell your mom to read the shirt. As soon as Teresa read the front she quickly turns Sienna around reads it & the 2 of us start crying & hugging. She was so happy for me.

Saturday: I went by mommy with Sienna's announcement shirt on so Joanne could get the news. As soon as she read the front she too figured it out quickly. She says I know there are alwayys hidden meanings in stirts. Very happy for me. She took a picture of the front & back & texted Chris. Later that day Nancy posted on facebook, "I love it when little birdies tell me secrets".

Sunday: Ed & Cynthia came over yesterday & Ed says so are you going to go look at donors anytime soon. Jerry says, no actually we found the perfect donor, she's 5'2, Polish...Ed says who you?. I proceed to tell them about when I found out I was pregnant, why we didn't tell them, how we've been avoiding them at Dr's. They were understanding & so happy for us. We are all excited to be going through this together.

New Phrases

We were getting ready to go to the creperie for breakfast & she didn't want to go. She says "don't like crepee anymore"

I was putting on a dress & she was giving me a hard time. She says "because no like dresses"

I ask Sienna do you have poopers? She says "no, I'm all clean"

baby moving

No it is much too early to actually feel it moving but I have a feeling this one is going to be very active. We had ultrasound today...8wks5days. While we were watching the baby started wiggling its arms & legs. Right now the baby is about the size of a large raspberry with little stubs for arms & legs but they were waving to us. It was the cutest thing.

On another note Cynthia & Ed heard the heartbeat today. She texted me a few minutes later to say she was bleeding. I pray she is ok & doesn't miscarry. I reassured her I also had light bleeding for a day early on with Sienna. The Dr's weren't worried about it then & Dr. Miller didn't seem to be either. But it's impossible not to think the worse. She will be on this roller coaster til she's safely out of the 1st trimester.

I think we will tell them this weekend.

Feel bad bragging

I really want to share how wonderful Sienna's vocabulary is with my bumpees, but feel bad bragging about it because there are a few LO's with speech delay. How do I share my joy without them feeling badly?

I realize now that her vocabulary is way advanced for her age. It does not necessarily mean she is smarter, as there will be kids her age who beat her out in other milestones, such as potty training or pedaling a bike, putting on their clothes, etc. I don't think it means she's going to be any smarter than any other child in school.

Makes me wonder if LO-to be will the the total opposite.

Vocabulary of a 3 yr old

I just went to a site one of the girls posted on vocabulary milestones & it said at the age of 2 your child should have a vocabulary of 300 words. Sienna is in the 3-1/2 year age milestones. She is easily over a thousand words. She can count to 15. She gets up to about LMN in the ABC's. She says 6-8 word sentences.

I know I am missing a couple others. Some are alot more clear than others. She has an amazing memory.

Some funny things she says & does:
Last night Jerry was leaving her bedroom & she starts screamig & crying "daddy don't go away!"
When she falls she says "I'm ok"
I was sitting eating dinner & she wanted me to play. She comes up to me, grabs my hand & says "get up" very firmly.
Jerry was getting ready to leave for work. Sienna standing at his legs holding his pants says "daddy don't go work"

Awesome heartbeat

Nice to not have to worry about running into Cynthia & Ed at Dr. Millers this week. They are going different days because of Cynthia's work schedule. So me & Jerry got there around 7:30. The ultrasound was great. 165 bpm which is perfect. The baby is now just over the size of a blueberry. On the ultrasound it is starting to look human instead of like a reptile. It is so exciting to see.

Almost caught!

So Jerry last night spoke to Ed & supposedly Ed was going to work with Cynthia at 5:00 am & she would draw her wn blood & he would drop it off. So Jerry assumes he'll be by Dr. Miller by 6:30 when they open.

I left the house at 6:30 & got there by 7:00. I go to the front door & it's ocked. I was waiting out there almost 5 mintures & finally a paitent came out so I got it. I right away ask Carol if Ed has been there yet & she said no, why don't you go wait in the conference room. Thank God they are so understanding. She comes back there to get me 5 minutes later & says coast is clear. After she put me in the room she went to go open the front door & he was just walking up so she just took the vial from him & he didn't have to come in. OMG, what timing. If he missed one red light I would have been caught without an excuse in the world as to why I am there.

I can't wait for us to tell them so we don't have to sneak around anymore. I told Jerry, as soon as they hear heartbeat we should tell them. Le them enjoy their own excitement& then we can all celebrate together.

Heartbeat

Jerry went with me to Dr. Miller today to see ultrasound. It was pretty awesome because we got to hear the heartbeat already. Beat at 135. She expects that for next week it should be at least 150. It's so amazing that at this early stage the heart is beating. I am only 6-1/2 weeks. On the ultrasound it appears like a little flashing light. I'm so happy that this happened naturally. It is such a relief not having to worry about a donor or her background or medical history or if her characteristics will resemble mine. Also so wonderful not to have to take all those meds.

Will we move in time?

I am slowly starting to pack. No, we do not have a house yet, but eventually we will. Who knows when that will be, when I am exhausted & can't do any packing? Or Jerry doesn't allow me to? So I vow to pack at least all the things we do not use. I have a china cabinet that has stuff we never use. The rotisserie surely can go away.

It's really a good thing that we haven't been rushed nto making any desicions. I feel bad for those who have a limited time to find a home. I'd hate to just settle. At this rate I realize that this part of NJ you really have to make comprimises. One of the top things on our list aside from price is taxes. And then property size. I want a private lot...do not want to see my neighbors.

So will we find something before we have our new little one?
